Hiring a self-drive canal boat to cruise the waterways of Alsace and Lorraine is a week out of time. The big operators — Le Boat, Locaboat, Nicols — have their bases here, starting with Hesse on the Marne-Rhine Canal. But before you take the helm, you have to reach the base with the suitcases, the provisions and sometimes the whole family — often from an airport, after an international flight.
We take care of that first and last link: a private, door-to-door transfer between the airport (Strasbourg-Entzheim, Basel-Mulhouse, Baden-Baden, Frankfurt, Zurich) or the TGV station and your hire base, in an 8-seater Mercedes van or a saloon car, return trip, at a fixed price. How much does a transfer to my boat-hire base cost?

Van or saloon car? And luggage for a week afloat?
The Mercedes V-Class carries up to 8 passengers with a big boot: ideal for a family or crew boarding for the week with suitcases, provisions and gear. A saloon car is available for two. Help with loading is included.
Do you do the return trip (drop-off at the start, pick-up at the end of the week)?
Yes, that is the most common booking: we drop you at the base on embarkation day and come back to collect you when the boat returns. Give us both dates and we lock in both transfers.
